VICENZAORO JANUARY: SUSTAINABILITY, CREATIVITY AND INNOVATION.

Vicenzaoro January (VOJ) - Jewellery Boutique Show by the Italian Exhibition Group will return for its 70th edition from Friday, January 19th, to Tuesday, January 23rd, 2024, at the fair in Vicenza, alongside T.Gold, an event dedicated to machinery and innovative technologies for gold and jewellery, and, from January 19th to 22nd, VO Vintage, a public event dedicated to vintage watchmaking and jewellery.

A RICH PROGRAM OF EVENTS

The program offers a variety of events celebrating the heritage, art, design, and craftsmanship of Italy, with a focus on excellence, quality, and creative genius. The central theme of the event is "Made in Italy," a bridge connecting the past to the future, tradition to progress. Trendvision Jewellery + Forecasting, the independent observatory of IEG directed by Paola De Luca, will explore trends, social landscapes, and consumer evolution, with contributions from high-profile speakers such as Mariella Milani, Lucia Silvestri, Alessia Crivelli, and Amedeo Scognamiglio.

Talks and events in collaboration with Assogemme will explore the role of art in jewellery and its implications, with the participation of industry professionals such as Olga Corsini, Isabella Traglio, and Claudia D'Arpizio. Gem Talks in collaboration with IGI will trace the last 70 years of gemmology history, while Retail Talks by Federpreziosi Confcommercio will focus on diamond sales.

The Club degli Orafi and the Studies and Research Department of Intesa Sanpaolo will present sector data during the event, examining the Italian goldsmith sector and new challenges in a complex international context.

Sustainability and investment in jewellery will be at the center of seminars organized by CIBJO in collaboration with authoritative entities such as the Watch & Jewellery Initiative 2030, the World Gold Council, and the Platinum Guild International - PGI. Experts from various parts of the value chain and luxury brands such as Kering and Cartier will participate in these events.

The sharing of best practices and partnerships focused on traceability will be the focus of an event in collaboration with the multinational group Fine Euro BV and the technology company Everledger.

Gold and technology, a revolution in progress: The Jewellery Technology Forum, in collaboration with Legor Group, will be a focal point during Vicenzaoro January 2024, taking place on January 21st in Vicenzaoro. The event will explore innovative productions, new alloys, and lightweight architectures made possible through interdisciplinary research. Digitalization and new technologies are revolutionizing the jewellery industry, influencing designs, materials, and production processes.

The forum will bring together professors, researchers, and international experts in metallurgy, gemology, new jewellery technologies, and certifications. Topics covered will include gold measurement, diamond authenticity analysis, jewellery design, and 3D printing. Skills in the industry are undergoing a transformation in tandem with the evolution of precious materials.

Additionally, another collaborative event with the digital agency Art&sofT will highlight the role of blockchain as a tool in the fight against counterfeiting. This underscores the importance of advanced technologies in protecting the authenticity and integrity of jewellery. Overall, the Jewellery Technology Forum will be a crucial platform to explore innovations and trends that are redefining the goldsmith-jewellery industry.
