From September 9 to 11 the third edition of VO Vintage

From September 9 to 11, during Vicenzaoro September (9-13 September), the third edition of VO Vintage will return with many new features. The fine vintage watchmaking and jewellery lounge will offer the community of collectors, dealers and enthusiasts the opportunity to admire and wear unique items that carry the value of time, increase technical skills and interact with opinion leaders.

In the foyer of the Vicenza exhibition center, in a reserved and elegant environment, there will therefore be the opportunity to meet face-to-face collectors of the caliber of Sandro Fratini with his son Giulio and Auro Montanari, watchmaking opinion leaders such as Bruno Bergamaschi and of the world of Fashion and Lifestyle such as Alessandro Squarzi, as well as the most renowned experts in watchmaking technique and history such as Professor Ugo Pancani of the Geneva-based FHH - Fondation de la Haute Horlogerie and the great masters of watchmaking such as Luca Soprana.

Among the exhibitors that the public will be able to meet at VO Vintage there will be new top watch dealers such as Robert Maron Watches and Hipster by Andrea Foffi, in addition to the confirmations of exhibitors present in previous editions such as Lucas Relogios and Lo Time by Luigi Loiero. Among the most selected market operators specializing in vintage precious jewellery, there will be brands such as Ela Antichità, Karma Pearls Limited, Montegrandi, F&F di Francesco Pontillo, Barbara Bassi and Art Decò Bijoux.
Together with these, a selection of independent brands of contemporary haute horlogerie from the AHCI (Académie Horlogère des Créateurs Indépendants) will participate in VO Vintage. In Vicenza, in fact, contemporary and vintage fields feed each other thanks to the concomitance and expertise of Vicenzaoro, a reference event for jewellery in the world with an international community of professional visitors from over 120 countries, offering a prestigious setting for the appointment.

At VO Vintage an absolute novelty. “Magister Speedmaster Exhibition. Birth and evolution of an Icon "will be an exclusive exhibition that Andrea Foffi will set up for the first time in the Vicenza exhibition center with 15 specimens from his private collection that represent the history of the Speedmaster, starting from his debut in 1943 with the movement designed by Albert Piguet, an evergreen to this day.
Seven pairs for seven icons: the original and its modern "re-edition", a journey that ends with the model made in platinum to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the Apollo XI moon landing in 1969. The collector, after having told about it with meticulous detail, myth and secrets in the volume "Magister - A Unique Andrea Foffi Speedmaster Selection" of 2021, it brings together history and contemporaneity as two sides of the same coin, leaving the observer the pleasure of discovering similarities and differences, of understanding how the models today in production are an integral part of a story that begins long ago and is destined to last over time.

Finally, the community's passion and desire for knowledge can count on a format in which training and information are brought into play through a rich program of sessions and meetings with experts, opinion leaders and protagonists of the world of watchmaking and jewellery.
In fact, the culture of the sector will be central to VO Vintage, thanks to frontal talks and masterclasses that give everyone, from the collector to the curious, the opportunity to increase their knowledge and skills. The scheduled events include the FHH classes held by Professor Ugo Pancani on vintage watchmaking issues such as, for example, proper maintenance; a dialogue between "Past, present and future of watchmaking" with Sandro and Giulio Fratini, Alessandro Squarzi and Maurizio De Angelis; a talk with Luca Soprana, Mo Coppoletta and Auro Montanari on "Trend in watchmaking, between mechanical savoir faire and designer aesthetic taste". The conversations will also be animated by Bruno Bergamaschi of the WatchHouse forum, while Stefano Mazzariol will hold a new edition of the “Newman Master” course.
